The City of El Paso Texas is seeking a skilled technician to install, repair, and maintain a range of electronic and electro-mechanical systems. You will troubleshoot diverse equipment, including toll and signaling devices, radios, clock systems, and other control systems, ensuring reliability across city infrastructure.

Responsibilities include operating testing equipment, performing repairs, and supporting after-hours emergency calls as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or higher and two years’ experience servicing electronic/electromechanical/telecommunication systems.
Some positions may require a Texas Class C Driver’s License or equivalent from another state.

Responsabilités

Install and repair electronic/electromechanical equipment and systems including toll equipment, fare boxes, flip dot display signs, video/audio announcement systems, two-way radios, clock systems, traffic signals and motor components.
Troubleshoot and repair or replace defective components and assist in repair and maintenance of complex control systems such as utility treatment plant instrumentation and process monitoring systems.
Operate testing equipment to verify repairs and respond to emergency service calls on a call-out basis, including after-hours work.
