US Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) is seeking a senior professional to join the Cyber Excepted Service in the Professional Work Category at the GG-14 level, supporting DoD Cyber Command missions at Fort Meade, MD.
The role requires leading or executing test and analysis efforts for DoW systems related to E3, EMC, and Spectrum Management, integrating subsystems into operational platforms, and communicating procurement policy in writing.
This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA IE/IE33. In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as:
Experience leading or executing test and analysis efforts for DoW systems related to Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3), Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), and Spectrum Management (SM); combining multiple subsystems (air traffic control systems, space systems, data links) into operational platforms; signal processing, combat identification systems, navigation systems, avionics, radars, antenna systems, missile systems, guided munitions, air defense systems, electronic warfare, electronic or signals intelligence, and test range instrumentation, or scientific instrumentation; representing the government in writing procurement policy for electronics.
