Job summary

Vertiv in the United States is seeking a hardware-focused engineer to contribute to documentation, schematics, and firmware collaboration. Responsibilities include creating technical docs and design simulations, developing low-level code for basic processor functionality, and using CAD tools to enter schematics for electronic hardware.

You will work with the firmware groups, debug hardware with lab tools, and evaluate alternate components to sustain shipping products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Motivated self-starter, with a high capacity for learning and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work with engineers in a team environment.
• Interested in designing electronic devices.
• Good verbal and written communication in English.
• Working knowledge of laboratory equipment, oscilloscope, logic analyzer.
• Understanding of schematic entry tools required.
• Understanding of Mentor Graphics schematic entry, a plus.
• Understanding of simulation tools, such as Hyperlynx, a plus.
• Understanding of Network configuration, a plus.
• Understanding of C, C++ or assembly language, a plus.
• Understanding of basic EMI principles, a plus.
• Understanding of Verilog, a plus.
