Job summary

The Structures Company in El Segundo is seeking an Electronics Design and Analysis Engineer 3 to lead FPGA top-level design, integrate IP cores, and ensure timing closure. You will program FPGAs using Versal, Ultrascale, and Ultrascale+ families, and work with the engineering team to meet stringent requirements.

The role requires 5+ years of FPGA experience, strong Verilog/SystemVerilog skills, and an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS, maths, physics or chemistry.
• 5+ years of related FPGA design experience.
• ABET accreditation preferred in the USA.
• Active Secret clearance required to start.
• Strong Verilog/SystemVerilog proficiency.
• Experience integrating third-party IP cores.
• Ability to collaborate with systems engineering for HW/SW integration.

Responsibilities

• Inherits FPGA top-level design and creates new blocks and interfaces.
• Integrates third-party and in-house IP cores into FPGA design.
• Updates constraints files and performs synthesis, simulation, and Place & Route for timing closure.
• Programs FPGA devices from Xilinx Versal, Ultrascale, and Ultrascale+ families.
• Troubleshoots timing violations and codes HDL.
• Collaborates with system engineering to support hardware/software integration and testing.
• Analyses requirements to develop architectural approaches and detailed specs.
• Validates designs through review, testing, and analysis.
