Saab, Inc. in New York seeks an Electronics Commodity Management Professional to lead strategic sourcing for electronics across North America and beyond. You will develop category strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance.

Candidates should have a BA/BS in related field with 8+ years of experience, strong financial acumen and electronics background, and be willing to travel up to 25% including international assignments.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Supply Chain or Engineering required.
• 8+ years with BA/BS, or 6+ years with Master’s degree in Sourcing or SCM.
• Strong financial acumen related to sourcing and supply chain.
• Strong electronics technical background.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Leadership and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity category strategies to drive value in Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation, and Sustainability.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiations, and award of first-time contracts for electronics suppliers.
• Manage approved supplier list for electronics commodities.
• Support win business by onboarding critical suppliers.
• Analyze data to understand supply base and categories.
• Perform market research and analyze trends for electronics.
• Identify risks and opportunities via SWOT and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine near and long term needs.
• Create an adaptable supply chain for electronics commodities.
• Lead supplier evaluations and assess capabilities and processes.
• Conduct spend analysis and lead cost reduction initiatives.
• Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews for critical suppliers.
• Support Saab Inc. diversity objectives and promote inclusive supply base.
• Develop supplier evaluation and scoring systems for data-driven decisions.
• Develop or modify SOPs and work instructions.
