Job summary

Saab, Inc. is seeking a collaborative Electronics Commodity Management Professional to lead strategic sourcing for electronics across North America and beyond. You will develop category strategies and drive value in quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability while managing supplier relationships and risk.

Requirements include a relevant degree and 8+ years in sourcing or SCM, strong financial acumen, and an electronics background. Travel up to 25% may be required; U.S.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering or equivalent is required.
• 8+ years with a BA/BS, or 6+ years with a Master’s degree, of experience typically in Sourcing or Supply Chain Management is required.
• Strong financial acumen especially related to sourcing and supply chain.
• Strong electronics technical background.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Leadership and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity category strategies to drive continuous value improvement for Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation, and Sustainability within the supply base.
• Lead identification, evaluation, selection, negotiation, and award of first-time contracts for new suppliers for multiple business units.
• Manage approved supplier list for suppliers supporting electronics commodities.
• Support supply chain during win business process by identifying, vetting, and onboarding critical suppliers.
• Analyze data to understand existing supply base and commodity categories.
• Perform market research, gather market intelligence, and analyze trends for electronics category or others as needed.
• Proactively identify risks and opportunities within electronics category via SWOT and risk analyses.
• Partner with internal stakeholders, including international Saab Affiliates, to determine future needs.
• Create an adaptable supply chain for electronics commodities.
• Lead supplier evaluations to understand supplier capabilities, people and processes.
• Conduct spend analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities and lead initiatives with supplier agreements.
• Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews with internal stakeholders for critical suppliers.
• Support Saab Inc. Small Business objectives and promote a diverse and inclusive supply base.
• Collaborate to develop supplier evaluation and scoring for data-driven decisions.
• Develop or modify standard operating procedures and work instructions to document processes.
