Job summary

Saab, Inc. is seeking an Electronics Commodity Management Professional to lead strategic sourcing for electronics across North America and internationally. You will drive category strategies, manage supplier relations, perform spend analysis, and onboard key suppliers to ensure cost, quality, and delivery targets.

The ideal candidate has a STEM degree, 8+ years in sourcing, strong electronics background, and proven leadership and negotiation skills. Occasional travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Supply Chain Management or Engineering required.
• 8+ years with BA/BS, or 6+ years with Master’s in Sourcing/SCM.
• Strong financial acumen related to sourcing and SCM.
• Strong electronics technical background.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Leadership and presentation abilities.
• Aerospace/defense experience is a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity category strategies to improve Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation and Sustainability.
• Lead supplier selection and first-time contracts with internal stakeholders.
• Manage approved supplier list for electronics suppliers.
• Support win-biz by vetting onboarding critical suppliers.
• Analyze data to understand supply base and categories.
• Perform market research and analyze trends for electronics.
• Identify risks and opportunities via SWOT and assessments.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including international affiliates.
• Create adaptable supply chain for electronics commodities.
• Lead supplier evaluations to understand capabilities and processes.
• Conduct spend analysis and drive cost-reduction initiatives.
• Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews with critical suppliers.
