Job summary

Saab, Inc. is seeking an Electronics Commodity Management Professional to strengthen the Strategic Sourcing team across North America and internationally as needed. The role centers on electronics commodities in defense, security, and manufacturing programs.

You will develop category strategies, lead supplier negotiations, manage spend analyses, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to align near- and long-term needs. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Supply Chain Management or Engineering required
• 8+ years with BA/BS, or 6+ years with Master's in Sourcing or SCM
• Strong financial acumen related to sourcing and supply chain
• Strong electronics technical background
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Leadership and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity category strategies to drive continuous value improvement for Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation, and Sustainability within the supply base.
• Lead identification, evaluation, selection, negotiation, and award of first-time contracts for new suppliers.
• Manage approved supplier list for electronics commodities.
• Support supply chain during win business process by onboarding critical suppliers.
• Analyze data to understand existing supply base and commodity categories.
• Perform market research, gather market intelligence, and analyze trends for electronics category.
• Identify risks and opportunities within electronics category via SWOT and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine near and long-term needs.
• Create an adaptable supply chain for electronics commodities.
• Lead supplier evaluations to understand supplier capabilities and performance.
• Conduct spend analysis to identify cost reductions and drive initiatives.
• Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews for critical suppliers.
• Support Saab Inc. Small Business objectives and promote diverse supplier base.
• Develop or modify SOPs and work instructions to document processes.
