Job summary

Moog Inc. is hiring a Production Operator to perform basic assembly tasks, operate tools, read blueprints, and perform electrical tests at the Blacksburg, VA facility. You will handle paperwork, maintain equipment, and assist with rework as needed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes quality, attention to detail, and safe handling of tools and chemicals. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with strong English comprehension and math skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; otherwise ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions in English, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Quality conscious, mechanical aptitude, and good dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Complete basic assembly operations using required manufacturing documentation.
• Correctly store, clean and maintain tools, equipment and chemicals; verify calibration dates and seals.
• Perform electrical testing using automated test equipment.
• Solder, read from blueprints, and use microscopes.
• Complete paperwork required for each part, accurately & legibly.
• Perform minor rework per Standard Rework Procedures, Quality History Tag Instructions, or rework router.
