Job summary

Moog Inc is seeking a Production Operator-2 for an onsite role in Blacksburg, VA. You will complete basic assembly using manufacturing documentation, operate tools and equipment, and ensure quality with careful attention to detail.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, strong math and reading comprehension, and dexterity to handle small parts; the position offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; otherwise ability to understand and follow verbal, written and computer work instructions in English.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (additions, subtractions, multiplications, divisions).
• Quality conscious, mechanical aptitude and good dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Complete basic assembly operations using required manufacturing documentation.
• Correctly store, clean and maintain tools, equipment and chemicals; verify calibration dates and seals.
• Perform electrical testing using automated test equipment.
• Solder, read from blueprints, and use microscopes.
• Complete paperwork required for each part, accurately & legibly.
• Perform minor rework per Standard Rework Procedures, Quality History Tag Instructions, or rework router.

Reporting To: Production Coach

Work Schedule: Onsite – Blacksburg, VA

To be considered for a Production Operator role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you: High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Quality conscious, mechanical aptitude, and good dexterity

Salary Range Transparency: Blacksburg, VA $16.00–$20.00 Hourly Salary Range Disclaimer The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
