Job summary

V2X Inc is seeking an Electronics Worker I to support the Modernization and Sustainment site in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role focuses on assembling, repairing, and testing electronic assemblies, including PCBs, cables, and chassis, following detailed instructions and IPC standards.

Responsibilities include soldering, wiring, and component prep, as well as operating assembly equipment and maintaining quality through in-process checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Two years of experience in electronic assembly, rework, and repair preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret process routings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Proficient in soldering and cable assembly techniques.
• Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-610, IPC-620, IPC-7711, J-STD-001) preferred.
• Basic computer skills and data collection for SPC.

Responsibilities

• Follows detailed written and verbal instructions, process routings, wiring diagrams, and production planning documents.
• Performs board and component preparation, soldering (both through-hole and surface mount), and touch-up.
• Operates machines for soldering, desoldering, pressing, shaping, winding, and placing components.
• Conducts in-process self-checks and prepares assemblies for formal inspection and testing.
• May assist with conformal coating, potting, encapsulating, and other intermediate assembly tasks.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area and follows safety procedures.
