Summary: The Electronics Assembly Technician II is primarily responsible for assembling, testing and delivering products and orders for the Production Department. This position is also responsible for building quality products and repairs.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Assembles all Electronic products for contracts and Production Order builds.Repairs product as needed, maintain a database of all repairs performed on equipment, provide shipping department with necessary information to ensure product repairs get to the correct destination with the correct insurance amount.Responsible for communicating directly with Sales Team Member regarding customer repair status and expected lead time upon receipt of product through completion and delivery.Communicates effectively with Inventory Department as needed.Communicates effectively with the Engineering Department as needed.Able to perform basic soldering and rework of SMT components.Track and maintain through ordering and coordination with the Purchasing Department a sufficient inventory of consumable components for use in manufacturing.Performs daily and time sensitive facility upkeep and maintenance tasks.Confer with supervisory and manufacturing personnel in order to determine where assistance is needed.Performs other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Basic use of hand tools (screwdrivers, cordless drill, etc.)Demonstrates attention to detail.Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Monitors own work to ensure quality.Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity; Works quickly.Observes safety and security procedures; Uses equipment and materials properly.Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Keeps commitments; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.Qualifications: This level of knowledge is normally acquired through a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); 5-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
