Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Electronics Assembly Technician I in Schaumburg, IL. This onsite role supports the assembly, inspection, soldering, rework, and repair of high-reliability electronics.

You will work with PCBAs, components, and precision tools, following IPC/work instructions with on-the-job training provided. Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, duration 2+ months with potential extension.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ months' experience in electronics assembly, manufacturing, electronics production, inspection, or related environment.
• Ability to read assembly drawings and work instructions.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic products and PCBAs following work instructions and engineering documentation.
• Perform soldering, desoldering, rework, touch-up, and repair activities.
• Inspect electronic assemblies and components for workmanship and quality defects.
• Utilize soldering irons, hot-air rework stations, microscopes, hand tools, and other production equipment.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, bills of materials, schematics, and manufacturing instructions.
• Identify and troubleshoot common assembly and workmanship issues.
• Follow IPC standards, ESD requirements, and established quality procedures.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Support continuous improvement, quality, and production initiatives.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to meet production goals.
