Job summary

Aerotek in Tualatin, OR seeks an electro-mechanical assembler to build, test, and package customer-specific configurations in a lean manufacturing environment. You will handle small parts, use hand tools, and perform basic circuit board testing while adhering to quality and safety standards.

The role involves lifting up to 35 pounds, rotating between teams, and following detailed instructions. This contract-to-hire position offers onsite work and steady workflow in a collaborative production

Qualifications

• Hands-on assembly experience with small parts and mechanical assemblies.
• Proficiency with hand tools in a production/assembly setting.
• Experience in general production, assembly lines, or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to perform basic circuit board testing (go/no-go).
• Ability to solder and perform wire bonding for sub-assemblies.
• Capable of lifting up to 35 pounds and packaging products for shipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electro-mechanical products using small parts and hand tools per visual and written instructions.
• Test, build, and package products within a lean manufacturing cell.
• Perform basic go/no-go testing of circuit boards to verify function.
• Carry out wire bonding and RF soldering for sub-assemblies.
• Follow customer-specific work instructions to add correct components.
• Package finished products and stage for shipping.
• Notify material handlers about shortages or issues.
• Stand and move around the production area as needed.
• Use computer to access work instructions and record production data.
• Rotate between teams to support workflow and goals.
• Maintain clean, organized, and ESD-safe work area following safety guidelines.
