Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Assembler to join a growing electronics manufacturing team in Germantown, MD. You will build, solder, inspect, and assemble electronic and mechanical subassemblies for radar and defense technologies, using blueprints and work instructions.

You will read drawings, perform soldering and wiring, and ensure strict quality standards in a fast-paced production setting. Onsite work with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Experience in mechanical assembly.
• Experience in electronic assembly.
• Proficiency using hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using electronic assembly equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
• Comfort working in a technical, manufacturing, and defense-related environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic and mechanical subassemblies used in advanced radar and defense systems.
• Perform electronic assembly, including soldering and wiring, using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Carry out mechanical assembly using hand and power tools while following safety and quality standards.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to complete builds accurately.
• Inspect assemblies for quality, completeness, and conformance to specifications throughout the build process.
• Use hand and power tools and electronic assembly equipment safely and effectively in a production environment.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure reliability and performance of mission-critical products.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to support production goals and resolve assembly issues.
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet schedules and production targets.
• Support continuous improvement by following established processes and providing feedback on assembly methods and documentation.
