Job summary

AeroVironment in Germantown, MD is seeking a Production Technician to test and assemble electro-mechanical systems per drawings and instructions using our work order system. The role emphasizes hands-on assembly, quality, teamwork, and adherence to safety and process standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1–2 years in a manufacturing or production setting, especially electronics or electro-mechanical assembly and test.
• Experience with hand tools and soldering as part of assembly.
• Must have good manual dexterity and basic computer operation skills.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail; able to follow instructions precisely.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies using hand and power tools; soldering may be required.
• Collaborate with Technicians and Engineering to improve assembly documents and quality.
• Work with manufacturing engineers to improve efficiency, quality, and cost; validate documentation.
• Ensure work order protocols are followed and paperwork is completed during tasks.
• Perform in-process quality checks to ensure high quality standards.
• Follow procedures for routine work and adapt to new assignments; maintain clean, safe workspace.
