Electronics and Instrumentation Technician (2004)

Join us to apply for the Electronics and Instrumentation Technician (2004) role at Mitsubishi Chemical America.

We are seeking an Electronics and Instrumentation Technician to join our manufacturing team. Candidates must have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work and communicate efficiently and safely. Technicians will collaborate with maintenance teams, operators, engineers, mechanics, and others, and must be willing to take ownership of assigned assets, equipment, or areas.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, repair, and perform both predictive and preventive maintenance on production process equipment, instrumentation, and electrical systems to ensure quality products.
Knowledge and Skills Required
  • Basic operation of DC & AC circuits
  • Basic operation of 3-phase AC power
  • DC/AC motor theory
  • DC/AC drive theory
  • Function and operation of fuses and circuit breakers
  • Electrical relay logic circuits
  • Operation of PLCs
  • Temperature, pressure, and flow control loops
  • Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and instrument loop sheets
  • Reading, interpreting, and troubleshooting PLC programs
  • Using basic hand tools (including Volt-Ohm meters)
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering Technology, or equivalent technical training (including military training)
  • Minimum of 2 years applicable industrial maintenance experience
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts (4 days on/4 days off or M-F days)
  • Availability for overtime and emergency call-in work
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range: $28.85 - $31.00, based on experience and other factors
