Job summary

Northrop Grumman is looking for an Electronic Technician 3 to join our Rolling Meadows, IL team. You will assemble, test, and maintain advanced electronic systems used in mission critical applications and work hands-on with electronic assemblies, circuit boards, and test equipment.

The position requires a 3rd shift (10:00 PM–7:30 AM) and DoD Secret Clearance eligibility. U.S. citizenship is required for government-related work and security clearances.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate with 4 years related experience or Technical Associate Degree with 2 years relevant work experience.
• Must be available to work off shift schedule (3rd shift hours 10:00 PM to 7:30 AM).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Perform functional and performance testing, troubleshooting, and repair of LITENING targeting Pods and subassemblies.
• Operate specialized test stations and test equipment.
• Perform routine operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
• Execute test procedures, record data, and ensure compliance with engineering specifications and military standards.
• Maintain test documentation, calibration records, and ensure compliance with safety and ESD protocols.
• Support root cause analysis of test failures and assist with data collection and corrective action implementation.
• Assist with environmental testing and system level verification.
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and security standards

Education

High School Graduate and 4 years of related experience -OR- Technical Associate Degree with 2 years of relevant work experience.
