Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Chandler, AZ, is seeking an Electronic Technician – Level 2 for on-site work. You will perform acceptance testing of various cable assemblies and devices under supervision, following schematics and plans. This full-time, on-site position operates on a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.

The role requires a high school diploma with related training, practical testing experience, and the ability to read technical diagrams. Relocation assistance is not available.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent plus 2 years related education/experience.
• Experience using test and measurement instruments such as multimeters, power supplies, function generators and oscilloscopes.
• Ability to read and follow schematics, diagrams and layouts.
• Familiarity with analog, digital and/or logic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform continuity and isolation testing, contact separation and retention testing, and Hi-pot testing.
• Use test instruments: multimeters, power supplies, function generators, oscilloscopes.
• ATP/environmental testing and Automated Testing Equipment experience preferred.
• Guidance from superiors is available as needed.
• Work from schematics, diagrams, and plans to perform testing, checkout, troubleshooting, prototype building, and environmental testing.
• Conduct routine operational tests and fault isolation to meet design specs.
• Diagnose and isolate malfunctions down to component level.
• Conduct defined tests and data collection.
• Exclude trainees with no academic prep or experience.
