Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Electronic Technician – Level 2 to join our team in Chandler, AZ. This on-site position performs acceptance testing of cable assemblies and related devices with a 9/80 schedule and no relocation assistance.

Under supervision, you will read schematics, use a range of test equipment, and troubleshoot to component level. DoD clearance is preferred, and experience in aerospace/defense is valued.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent and related electronics experience.
  • Ability to read and follow schematics, diagrams, and layouts.
  • Experience with analog, digital and/or logic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform continuity and isolation testing, contact separation and retention testing, and Hi-pot testing.
  • Use test equipment (multimeters, power supplies, function generators, oscilloscopes) to perform measurements.
  • Work from schematics, diagrams, and written/described plans for testing, checkout, and environmental testing.
  • Conduct routine tests and fault isolation to ensure conformance with design specifications.
  • Diagnose malfunctions down to component level and collect test data.

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking an Electronic Technician – Level 2 to join our team in Chandler, AZ. Under close supervision, the Electronic Technician 2 will be responsible for the acceptance testing of a variety of cable assemblies and related devices. This position is fully on-site. Relocation assistance is not available. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Job Responsibilities
  • Performing Continuity and Isolation testing, Contact Separation and Retention testing and Hi-pot testing.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to use a variety of test and measurement instrumentation such as multimeters, power supplies, function generators and oscilloscopes is required.
  • ATP / environmental testing and experience using Automated Testing Equipment is preferred.
  • Applications may include analog, digital and/or logic systems.
  • Guidance is readily available from superiors.
  • Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform routine testing, checkout, troubleshooting, prototype building and environmental testing.
  • Perform routine operational tests and fault isolation to ensure conformance with design specifications.
  • Diagnose and isolate malfunctions down to component level.
  • Conduct defined tests and collect data as assigned.
  • Excludes trainees with no academic preparation or experience.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Knowledge of and/or the ability to use a variety of test and measurement instrumentation such as multimeters, power supplies, function generators and oscilloscopes.
  • Ability to read and follow schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans.
  • Familiarity with analog, digital and/or logic systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Electronics training equivalent to 2 years technical trade school or military technical school.
  • Active or ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance.
  • Aerospace and Defense experience.
  • ATP / environmental testing and experience using Automated Testing Equipment.
Salary

Primary Level Salary Range: $23.27 - $38.75

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
