Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector in Chandler, AZ is seeking an Electronic Technician Level 2 to join our on-site team. Under close supervision, you will perform acceptance testing of cable assemblies and related devices, using multimeters, scopes and automated test equipment. You will read schematics and follow test protocols.

This full-time, on-site role offers a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off and a competitive pay range with potential bonuses plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years related experience.
  • Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and written/verbal descriptions.
  • Familiarity with analog, digital and/or logic systems.
  • Knowledge of test equipment such as multimeters, power supplies, and oscilloscopes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Continuity and Isolation testing, Contact Separation and Retention testing and Hi-pot testing.
  • Use test instruments such as multimeters, power supplies, function generators and oscilloscopes.
  • ATP/environmental testing and using Automated Testing Equipment when applicable.
  • Work from schematics, diagrams and layouts to perform testing, checkout and troubleshooting.
  • Perform routine operational tests and fault isolation to ensure conformance with design specs.
  • Diagnose and isolate malfunctions to component level.
  • Conduct defined tests and collect data as assigned.

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking an Electronic Technician Level 2 to join our team in Chandler, AZ. Under close supervision, the Electronic Technician 2 will be responsible for the acceptance testing of a variety of cable assemblies and related devices.

This position is fully on-site. Relocation assistance is not available.

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Performing Continuity and Isolation testing, Contact Separation and Retention testing and Hi-pot testing.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to use a variety of test and measurement instrumentation such as multimeters, power supplies, function generators and oscilloscopes is required.
  • ATP / environmental testing and experience using Automated Testing Equipment is preferred. Applications may include analog, digital and/or logic systems.
  • Guidance is readily available from superiors.
  • Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform routine testing, checkout, troubleshooting, prototype building and environmental testing.
  • Perform routine operational tests and fault isolation to ensure conformance with design specifications.
  • Diagnose and isolate malfunctions down to component level.
  • Conduct defined tests and collect data as assigned.
  • Excludes trainees with no academic preparation or experience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Knowledge of and/or the ability to use a variety of test and measurement instrumentation such as multimeters, power supplies, function generators and oscilloscopes
  • Ability to read and follow schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans
  • Familiarity with analog, digital and/or logic systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electronics training equivalent to 2 years technical trade school or military technical school.
  • Active or ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance
  • Aerospace and Defense experience
  • ATP / environmental testing and experience using Automated Testing Equipment

Primary Level Salary Range: $23.27 - $38.75The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
