Platform Description:

Perform device repairs for the Engagement Skills Trainer. Conduct repair tasks to complete device repairs and corrective maintenance for simulation weapons, LRUs, and components. Apply basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturer manuals, documents, and diagrams. Use tools and test equipment to perform repairs, troubleshooting, network connectivity, software diagnostics, malfunction identification, and verification of repairs through quality assurance. Track bench stock, parts, and follow up on securing parts. Maintain repair records, including Work Orders, parts, components, and requisitions using the Maximo database. Interpret data, solve technical problems, manage time effectively, and follow safety procedures and regulations.

Job Description:

  • Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance on Ground TES Devices and GFP, following technical manuals, checklists, or industry best practices with minimal supervision.
  • Inform the Depot Lead of maintenance timelines, including travel needs for personnel or support during increased demand.
  • Ensure maintenance activities do not conflict with training, exercises, or testing schedules.
  • Record all maintenance activities in real-time in InSite.
  • Adhere to warranty terms, tracking items by part number, serial number, and location.
  • Analyze maintenance trends, track component consumption, support obsolescence management, implement risk strategies, and conduct failure analysis to enhance system reliability.
  • Install modifications or upgrade kits according to manufacturer instructions.

Degree(s)/Years of Experience:

2+ BA/BS, 1+ MA/MS, or 4+ AA, or 6+ years of experience without a degree.

Certification(s):

Basic Electronic Technical Certificate (preferred).

Desired Experience:

  • Performing scheduled and corrective maintenance on TADSS and GFP, following manuals or best practices with minimal supervision.
  • Communicating maintenance timelines to depot leads, including travel and demand support.
  • Ensuring maintenance does not conflict with operational schedules and recording activities in MIS.
  • Managing warranty terms, tracking items, and testing TADSS for interoperability and operation.
  • Monitoring hardware baselines, managing updates and obsolescence, analyzing trends, and conducting failure analyses to improve system reliability.
