Electronics Technician Factory (TS/SCI & Sec+ Required)

Join us for the Electronics Technician Factory (TS/SCI & Sec+ Required) role at Akima.

Position Overview

Akima Global Technology seeks an Electronics Technician to work at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio. To join our team of professionals, apply today!

Responsibilities
  1. Provide DLADS and Factory support during core hours.
  2. Offer Level II Service Desk support.
  3. Resolve service requests related to new installations or desktop configurations within specified SLAs.
  4. Perform up to 350 desktop recapitalizations per month, including imaging and disposal of old computers.
  5. Coordinate with Hardware Technicians, ECO, NASIC Property Custodians, and Logistics for equipment pickup.
  6. Handle, sanitize, and prepare IT equipment for pickup, including desktops, laptops, mobile phones, servers, peripherals, printers, scanners, and multifunction devices.
  7. Support various printers and scanners, including installation and troubleshooting.
  8. Replace or install up to 50 new printers annually.
  9. Maintain inventory of hardware and peripherals for repairs and warranties.
  10. Complete sanitization and disposition documentation.
  11. Assist with equipment transfer, adhering to NASIC policies.
  12. Use NASIC ticketing systems to track requests and support activities.
  13. Provide warranty support for IT equipment.
  14. Coordinate corrective actions with outside agencies when needed.
  15. Follow SOPs to resolve tickets efficiently.
  16. Ensure safety guidelines are followed during all operations.
  17. Install, maintain, and repair workstations and peripherals.
  18. Support inventory management and accountability.
  19. Maintain tools and equipment for technical tasks.
  20. Handle NASIC incident and service requests using OEM best practices.
  21. Install and move workstations and peripherals per NASIC guidelines.
  22. Maintain a stock of systems for break-fix needs.
  23. Manage inventory of supplies like hard drives and toner.
  24. Test and return vendor repairs and warranty items.
  25. Ensure new computers are operational with all software upon installation.
  26. Communicate with customers to ensure functionality with new hardware.
  27. Provide monthly reports on work activities and issues.
Qualifications
  • Maintain IAT Level II certification as mandated by AFMAN 17-1303, DoD Directive 8140.01, and DoD 8570.01-M.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
