Reports to: Site Lead

FLSA: Full-time, Hourly Non-Exempt

Primary Work Location: Ft Indiantown Gap, PA

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Electronic Technician Maintenance II position supports the Army Warfighter Training & Readiness Solutions (WTRS) contract.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

• The Electronics Technician Maintenance II will perform all functions required to maintain and repair electronics for the UH-72A Synthetic Flight Training System (SFTS).
• Utilize spare/repair parts to address faults and perform preventative maintenance according to technical guidelines.
• Research and select necessary repair parts.
• Enter work order data accurately and promptly into the online management information system.
• Apply technical knowledge to solve routine electrical, mechanical, and computer issues by interpreting manufacturers' manuals and schematic drawings.
• Perform inventory of spare/repair parts following contractual guidelines.
• Ensure all paperwork and reports are completed timely and accurately.
• Provide technical support and training to system operators.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• This position may require travel to other installations and WTRS locations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Science, or Information Technology from an accredited university with 2 years of experience, or a Master’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or Information Technology with 1 year of experience, or 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Intermediate computer and networking skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and On-Post driving privileges.
• Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Must be able to maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, computer proficiency, and ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, customer service, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Bend, squat, climb, and reach.
• Repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Close visual acuity for data analysis, transcribing, and extensive reading.
• May be exposed to extreme weather conditions.
• Experience using test equipment such as torque wrenches, volt/micrometers, network testers, and solder stations.
