Job Title:

Debug Technician – Electrical & Mechanical Systems

Location:

Austin, TX

Shift:

2nd Shift (3pm-11pm + 10% shift differential)

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Debug Technician to join our team in Austin. In this role, you’ll troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and mechanical systems vital to our production lines. If you're a natural problem-solver with a passion for technology and teamwork, this is the opportunity for you.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical assemblies down to the component level
• Use diagnostic tools like oscilloscopes and other test equipment
• Collaborate with Engineering to resolve design issues and improve processes
• Mentor and support other technicians and team members
• Assist in onboarding and training new hires
• Help maintain and update technical documentation (e.g., work instructions, logs, debug guides)
• Track and analyze equipment performance metrics (yield, cycle time, reliability)
• Support the installation and debugging of new manufacturing equipment
• Promote a safe work environment and follow all safety protocols
• Develop and maintain a PCBA Debug Guide for best practices
• Train fellow debug technicians on PCBA diagnostics

What You Bring

• Hands-on experience troubleshooting electronic and mechanical systems
• Skilled with diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, test benches, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of PCBA-level debugging
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
• Effective communicator and team collaborator
• Confident in documenting and sharing technical procedures
• Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership
