Job summary

Knorr Brake Company is seeking an Electronics/Software Engineer to design and implement embedded control software for pneumatic and hydraulic braking and HVAC systems in rail vehicles. You will collaborate with systems, mechanical, product, and test teams to support integration, verification, and commissioning.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years in electronic systems engineering, with experience in ANSI C/C++, Ethernet/CAN networks, and IEEE/EN standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 3 years of experience in electronic systems engineering or embedded control development.
• Experience with ANSI C/C++ for real-time embedded applications.
• Experience with Ethernet and CAN networks.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop real-time embedded control software for rail braking and HVAC systems.
• Prepare documentation per IEEE/EN standards and project requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integration and testing.
• Support validation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution of control software.
• Maintain compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
