Job summary

i2G Systems is seeking an Electronic Security Service Technician to install, service, and maintain CCTV/IP camera systems, access control, and intrusion detectors at client sites. The role includes on‑site diagnostics, network configuration, and routine preventive maintenance to ensure reliable operation across varying environments.

You will read blueprints and wiring diagrams, run low‑voltage cabling, and provide on‑site and remote support.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronic security systems (video, access, intrusion)
• Strong understanding of IP networking, switches, PoE, and basic routing
• Ability to use diagnostic tools (multimeter, cable tester, laptop‑based utilities)
• Knowledge of low‑voltage wiring standards and installation best practices
• Strong problem‑solving and customer‑service skills
• Ability to work independently in the field
• Valid driver’s license; ability to lift equipment and work on ladders

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test CCTV/IP camera systems, NVRs/VMS platforms, and networked security devices
• Install and service access control systems (card readers, door hardware, controllers, biometrics)
• Diagnose and repair intrusion alarm systems, sensors, panels, and communication modules
• Perform preventive maintenance, system inspections, and firmware/software updates
• Run, terminate, and label low‑voltage cabling (Cat5/6, coax, fiber)
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics
• Provide on‑site and remote technical support to customers and internal teams
• Document service activities, parts used, and system configurations
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and local regulations
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to resolve complex issues
