Job summary

Kastle Systems in Falls Church, VA area is seeking an Electronic Security Service Technician to install, service, and maintain CCTV, access control, and intrusion systems. The role involves field work across client locations and ensuring systems meet performance and safety standards.

You will configure CCTV cameras, NVRs, perform preventive maintenance, read blueprints, and provide on-site and remote support. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift equipment are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronic security systems (video, access, intrusion).
• Solid understanding of IP networking, switches, PoE, and basic routing.
• Ability to diagnose and repair security equipment and networks.
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test CCTV/IP camera systems, NVRs/VMS platforms, and networked security devices
• Install and service access control systems(card readers, door hardware, controllers, biometrics)
• Diagnose and repair intrusion alarm systems, sensors, panels, and communication modules
• Perform preventive maintenance, system inspections, and firmware/software updates
• Run, terminate, and labellowvoltage cabling(Cat5/6, coax, fiber)
• Read and interpretblueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics
• Provide onsite and remotetechnical supportto customers and internal teams
• Document service activities, parts used, and system configurations
• Ensure compliance withsafety standards, company policies, and local regulations
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to resolve complex issues
