Job summary

i2G Systems is seeking an Electronic Security Service Technician to install, diagnose, and maintain CCTV, access control, and intrusion systems at customer sites. The role requires hands-on field work, field diagnostics, and collaboration with project teams to ensure compliance and reliability.

The ideal candidate will have experience with low-voltage systems, IP networking basics, and a customer-focused approach to service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronic security systems (video, access, intrusion).
• Strong understanding of IP networking, switches, PoE, and basic routing.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools (multimeter, cable tester, laptop-based utilities).
• Knowledge of low-voltage wiring standards and installation best practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test CCTV/IP camera systems, NVRs/VMS platforms, and networked security devices.
• Install and service access control systems (card readers, door hardware, controllers, biometrics).
• Diagnose and repair intrusion alarm systems, sensors, panels, and communication modules.
• Perform preventive maintenance, system inspections, and firmware/software updates.
• Run, terminate, and label low-voltage cabling (Cat5/6, coax, fiber).
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers and internal teams.
• Document service activities, parts used, and system configurations.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and local regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to resolve complex issues.

The Electronic Security Service Technician installs, services, troubleshoots, and maintains electronic security systems including video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, alarms, and related low‑voltage equipment. This role ensures systems operate reliably, meet customer requirements, and comply with industry standards
