New York State Center for Recruitment & Public Service is seeking an Electronic Alarms Specialist (EAS) 2. The role involves preventative maintenance of ESS installations, supervision over armory mechanics, and oversight of contractor personnel across state facilities.

Requires experience in electronic security systems and a related degree, with travel and training as necessary. The position emphasizes compliance with ARNG-IES ESS guidelines and NGB standards, including proficiency in MS Word

Formación

• Minimum three (3) years full-time, professional level work experience in electronic security systems or electrical field.
• Associate degree or higher in electrical fields or electronic studies, with at least one year of related experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, and possess a valid driver's license to operate a vehicle in New York.

Responsabilidades

• Performs preventative maintenance checks on ESS installations at least semi-annually.
• Serves as assistant to the ESS Program Manager and provides technical guidance to armory mechanics.
• Supervises contractor personnel during installation, repair, or maintenance of ESS at armories and facilities.
• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install fire alarm detection, monitoring, and transmission systems; travel as needed.
