Job summary

Sonoma State University is seeking an Electronic Resources Administrative Specialist to manage the lifecycle of library electronic resources, including licenses, access, renewals, and troubleshooting. The role also involves vendor communication, data collection, and workflow documentation to support users and library operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent administrative experience.
• At least 2 years in related work; library/e-resource experience preferred.
• Experience with e-resource lifecycle: acquisition, activation, renewal, troubleshooting, access.
• Experience in consortial libraries and using COUNTER data for decisions.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel; familiarity with Google Suite, scheduling software, and library systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage electronic resource lifecycle tasks: license tracking, renewals, access troubleshooting.
• Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders; maintain documentation.
• Collect and analyze usage data; prepare reports with actionable recommendations.
• Contribute to policy development and process improvements; lead select projects.
• Support customers and colleagues with resource access and workflows.
