Job summary

Motive Workforce in Lake Forest, CA is seeking an Electronic Repair Technician to diagnose, repair, calibrate, and test electronic instruments used in power testing systems across multiple industries. You will work with the Service Repair Manager to assess performance, determine warranties, and ensure timely repairs.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting to board level, completing repairs within 8–10 days, recreating customer setups, applying AC power theory, and conducting instrument

Qualifications

• 3–4 or more years of AC power electronics experience, or an associate's or bachelor's degree with 1–2 years of AC power electronics experience.
• Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot electronic equipment.
• Working knowledge of electrical instrument calibration for power, medical, and battery systems.
• Working knowledge of inventory management and material control.
• Ability to manage shifting priorities and deadlines in a busy repair lab.
• Strong attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electronic instruments to the board or component level using schematics, equipment specifications, and electrical principles.
• Complete repairs, calibrations, and final testing within an 8-10-day repair goal.
• Recreate customer setups to investigate equipment issues and confirm proper operation.
• Apply AC power theory to diagnose problems with power testing instruments.
• Perform instrument calibrations using established methods and requirements.
• Support parts inventory, material planning, and daily repair operations.
• Track repair performance and help improve turnaround times and quality.
• Follow up on technical issues and communicate findings with the service team.
• Maintain a clean, organized lab and follow established electrical safety and quality procedures.
