Job summary

AMETEK, Chandler, AZ, is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Repair Technician to interpret work instructions, read drawings, and perform repair, calibration, and verification of laboratory instruments. You will use hand tools, digital measurement devices, and ERP systems to ensure precise repair and test documentation.

The role requires an Associate degree or equivalent in Electrical & Electronics Tech, 1–3 years in electronics repair, strong safety discipline, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in Electrical & Electronics Engineering Technology (or a related technical field).
• 1-3 years of experience in electronics repair and manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in electronics repair and manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to navigate ERP systems.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• MS Office experience.

Responsibilities

• Disassembling/reassembling components.
• Cleaning/Repairing equipment to good working order.
• Setting up equipment and calibrating instruments.
• Troubleshooting electronic problems to board level; addressing pressure, flow, and leaks.
• Solder components to circuit boards efficiently.
• Assemble and calibrate gold film sensors.
• Operate meters (Multimeters) and digital flow meters.
• Read, follow, and submit corrections for work instructions.
• Adhere to safety protocols (Electrical, SDS, PPE).
• Capture, evaluate, and record test results.
• Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Maintain ISO 9001 laboratory instrument repair, calibration, and verification workflows.
• Daily use of ERP system.
