Job summary

Textron Systems: Lycoming Engines in Williamsport, PA is seeking an experienced Electronic Mechanic to install, troubleshoot and repair industrial electronic equipment and instrumentation. You will work with schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to diagnose issues and install components, including heat-treat area instrumentation.

JOB SCOPE

Install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair all types of simple to complex industrial electronic equipment, machinery and instrumentation. In addition, install, repair and maintain instrumentation in the heat-treating area. Utilize electronic testing equipment, schematic prints, wiring diagrams, handbooks, formulae, blueprints and charts to locate and repair malfunctions or install components.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform other duties inherently required of the job classification.
• Perform assigned work in a safety conscious manner.
• Perform assigned work to specified quality and production standards.
• Maintain equipment and tools used by the individual in a clean condition.
• Perform assigned cleaning required to maintain individual’s immediate work area in a clean condition.
• Prepare and/or maintain all documentation necessary to the duties of the job classification.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of apprenticeship as an electronic mechanic or electronic technician; or an associate degree, certificate program or trade school program in industrial electronics and two years’ experience as an electronic mechanic or electronic technician; or 4 years’ experience as an electronic mechanic or electronic technician.
