Job summary

OKAY Industries is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical systems across manufacturing equipment. The role requires reviewing technical drawings, diagnosing issues, and performing calibrations to ensure optimal performance.

The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, strong knowledge of PLCs and control systems, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance or repair.
  • Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment, including motors, sensors, pumps, control panels, and automation systems.
  • Install new machinery, wiring, control systems, and mechanical components according to drawings and safety standards.
  • Test and calibrate components to ensure proper functionality and specifications.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and document maintenance activities to reduce downtime.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions quickly using diagnostic tools and documentation.
  • Follow electrical codes, mechanical safety procedures, and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Maintain accurate service records, repair logs, and maintenance reports.
  • Collaborate with engineers, machine operators, and production teams to support continuous improvement and system reliability.

Electro - Mechanical Technician
Position Summary

The Electro-Mechanical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems, components, and equipment. This role requires a solid understanding of both electrical and mechanical principles to ensure optimal operation, safety, and efficiency of machinery and production systems.

Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repair
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment, including motors, sensors, pumps, control panels, and automation systems.
Installation
  • Install new machinery, wiring, control systems, and mechanical components according to technical drawings, schematics, and safety standards.
Testing & Calibration
  • Test and calibrate components to ensure proper functionality and compliance with specifications.
Preventive Maintenance
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and document maintenance activities to reduce downtime.
Troubleshooting
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions quickly using diagnostic tools and technical documentation.

Qualifications
Education

Experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair (industrial or manufacturing environment preferred).
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, PLCs, sensors, drives, and control systems.
  • Proficiency with mechanical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic and testing tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, vibration analyzers, etc.).
