Job summary

Experis Technology Group is seeking an Electronic Lab Technician (Hardware Engineering Lab Technician) to join the Lab Operations team in Santa Clara, CA. This onsite role supports hands-on hardware work in product labs with a focus on safety and cross-functional collaboration.

You will rack and stack servers and network hardware, install rack hardware, organize cabling, and maintain precise asset records. The position offers long-term temp potential and onsite work in a fast-paced engineering

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s preferred.
• Hands-on experience with racking and stacking hardware in equipment racks.
• Experience tracking server hardware, components, cables, and lab assets.
• Experience receiving shipments, verifying against PO/packing slips, labeling for shipment.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day physical lab operations (racking/un-racking servers, switches, storage).
• Install rack rails, mounting brackets, shelves, and related hardware per layouts and instructions.
• Connect and organize power, Ethernet, and fiber; maintain clean cable management.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for lab hardware and assets; manage asset tags and serial numbers.
• Handle shipping/receiving tasks: inspect, label, pack, and prep hardware for shipment or relocation.

Our client, Semiconductor Industry is seeking a Electronic Lab Technician (Hardware Engineering Lab Technician) to join their team. As a Electronic Lab Technician (Hardware Engineering Lab Technician), you will be part of the Lab Operations team supporting hands-on hardware work in product labs in Santa Clara. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to coordinate effectively with engineering, logistics, and facilities teams—skills that will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $30/H On W2

What’s the Job?

• Support day-to-day physical lab operations by performing racking and un-racking of servers, switches, storage devices, and other lab equipment.
• Install rack rails, mounting brackets, shelves, and related hardware, and follow provided rack layouts and installation instructions.
• Connect and organize power, Ethernet, and fiber-optic cabling as required, ensuring clean cable management and proper equipment placement.
• Maintain accurate inventory and asset records for lab hardware, components, cables, and lab assets, including asset tags, serial numbers, model numbers, quantities, and locations.
• Handle shipping and receiving tasks: receive, inspect, document, label, pack, and prepare hardware for shipment, return, or relocation.

What’s Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in IT, Electronics, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with racking and stacking, including installing, mounting, and removing servers and network hardware in equipment racks.
• Experience tracking server hardware, components, cables, and lab assets while maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Experience receiving shipments, verifying items against documentation (purchase orders/packing slips), inspecting for visible damage, and preparing items for shipment with proper labeling and documentation.
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment, including cable management and equipment organization, while working effectively with cross-functional teams.
