Job summary

NAVFAC SOUTHWEST in Ventura, CA seeks an Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic in the Public Works Department to manage complex, electronically controlled equipment.  You will evaluate the impact of repairs on related devices and the total system to ensure proper operation.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues via test readings, using diagnostic tools, and performing installation, maintenance, and repairs of industrial control systems in varying environments, with field work as

Qualifications

• EPA Universal Certification required; submit certification with application.
• Ability to install, maintain, troubleshoot electronically controlled industrial equipment.
• Experience with HVAC and refrigeration components a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate impact of repairs on related devices and total system.
• Diagnose malfunctions using diagnostic readings and test equipment.
• Troubleshoot with technicians at field locations and perform repairs.
• Operate and monitor electronic control systems and DDC networks.
