Job summary

St. Thomas Community Health Center is seeking an experienced EHR Documentation Support Specialist to join our IT team in New Orleans. You will support efficient, accurate EHR documentation, assist users with Epic EHR, and provide medical scribing as requested.

Responsibilities include training end users, troubleshooting issues, optimizing EHR workflows, and collaborating with staff to ensure effective use of our EHR system and related applications.

Qualifications

• Experience with EHR systems and health information systems is required.
• Epic EHR experience is required.
• Medical scribe experience is required.

Job description

As an EHR subject matter expert, you will troubleshoot issues, optimize workflows, and provide guidance to ensure the effective use of the EHR system and related applications.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with EHR systems and other health information systems - Required
• Epic EHR experience.
• Medical scribe experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, or a related field (or other equivalent work experience)
• Professional demeanor.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with common software applications and the ability to learn new technologies.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and interact effectively with end users.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively to audiences with various levels of computer knowledge.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and manage competing demands.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
