Job summary

ACET, Inc. is seeking an Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) Program Manager for the 28th Bomb Wing at Ellsworth AFB, SD.

You will manage the Wing EFB program, ensure publications are current, and coordinate with AFGSC/EFB leadership to uphold stringent safety and security requirements. The role requires DoD Secret clearance eligibility, DoD-compatible IT skills, and hands-on experience with iOS/macOS, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Teams.

Qualifications

• Must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance to access the airfield and military installation.
• Two (2) years of IT or device management experience.
• Two (2) years of Microsoft Suite experience, with the ability to manage SharePoint and Microsoft Teams applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Wing and Operations Group EFB program in accordance with AFGSCI 11-270 and Baseline Configuration announcements, serving as primary Wing EFB Program Manager with a designated alternate.
• Liaise with the AFGSC EFB Program Manager, AFGSC/A3TV. Generate, archive, and submit Wing and squadron EFB Manager appointment letters to the AFGSC/A3T EFB Workflow mailbox.
• Carry out maintenance, upgrades, patching, and restoration that cannot be done at squadron level, holding the MDM administrator passcode, ForeFlight administrator access, and local administrator rights on all Exclusive Use Stand-Alone (EUSA) computers.
• Administer the EFB program at Wing level in BlackBerry Unified Endpoint Management (BBUEM) or any future designated MDM, including user account management, lost or stolen device tracking, and compliance audits, completing all required training certificates.
• Coordinate with the Stan/Eval Technical Order Distribution Officer, squadron EFB Managers, and Stan/Eval representatives so EUSA computers hold current Technical Orders, Currency of Directives, FCIFs, Special Interest Items, and FLIP.
• Manage ForeFlight administration, including account additions and deletions, and educate squadron EFB managers on configuration for worldwide FLIP use.
• Maintain the commercial internet (WiFi) service supporting EFB connectivity as primary contact with the ISP. Schedule repairs and escort technicians on base.
• Work with the Resource Advisor to set sustainment cost and maintain EFB equipment inventory. Report sustainment cost in the annual group budget process.
• Act as equipment custodian for Operations Group EFB equipment. Inventory and enroll hardware-refresh devices in the AFGSC Device Enrollment Program and MDM before operational use, and decommission obsolete equipment through ITEC and DRMO.
• Elevate EFB requirements and concerns to leadership and AFGSC/A3T. Monitor iOS and technology releases, and maintain an obsolescence mitigation plan.
• Use the Microsoft Teams EFB Program Manager site and SharePoint for program announcements, user profile management, and new EFB manager training. Engage in future EFB capability planning as directed by the Operations Officer.
• Produce the EFB Audit Report and EFB Sustainment Report, and perform Stan Eval administrative duties as required.
