Job Description

Join AZAD as an Electronics Engineer and provide engineering and field support for operational telecommunication facilities and associated equipment for the Technology Evaluation and System Testing (TEVE) organization. The TEVE organization is responsible for performing acceptance testing for new Power System Control (PSC) and System Protection and Control (SPC) equipment. This group also performs system tests to ensure that the equipment uses is performing properly and meets the changing needs of the system.

This is a 2 year plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is based in Vancouver, WA with onsite 5 days per week.

The hourly pay rate range for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $5.09)is$45.07 to $69.00 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package.

The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications or Electronics Engineering is required .

10 years of Electrical engineering is required.

Knowledge of engineering concepts, principals, and practices applicable to components and facilities found on a regional transmission systems is required

1 year of providing support service to field users in a utility or industrial environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

Valid U.S. Driver's License/Real ID is required.

Preferred:

Experience with telephone systems.

Experience with microwave communication systems

Proficiency in Carrier Ethernet, Multiple Protocol Label Switching (MPLS)

Proficiency measuring and solving EMI issues.

Excellent customer contact skills, sufficient to provide technical support over the phone to engineers and craftsmen in the field.

Ability to communicate technical information verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical users.
