AZAD seeks an Electronic Engineer to deliver electrical engineering design for the Engineering organization in a hybrid role based in Vancouver, WA. The position supports Control Center or Substation work on Remedial Action Schemes and collaborates with project managers and field teams to ensure successful project execution.

Ideal candidates have a degree, relevant experience, and a commitment to safety. This is a 2+ year consultant position with strong potential for long-term ongoing

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• 6 months electrical engineering experience required.
• Candidates within 3 months of graduation may be considered; degree attestation may be requested.
• Knowledge of engineering concepts for components/facilities on a regional transmission system.
• 6 months design/technical review experience in protective relay, control, SCADA, telecom, or substation.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License.
• First Aid/AED/CPR certification required within 30 days of start.
• Energized Facility Permit required within one year of start.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical engineering design for the Engineering organization. Support Control Center or Substation work for Remedial Action Schemes (RAS) Engineering.
• Assist project managers and other engineers in implementing projects and supporting field maintenance crews.
• Provide engineering services following established policy, process, and practice.
• Support a wide variety of project designs, drawings, and related documentation.

Job description

The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (from an ABET accredited school) is required.
• 6 months of Electrical Engineering experience is required.
• Candidates 3 months from graduation will be considered. Proof of degree may be requested after graduation. ** (Request attestation from supplier confirming degree was obtained) **
• Must have knowledge of engineering concepts, principles, and practices applicable to components and facilities found on a regional transmission system.
• 6 months of experience in performing design or technical review for electrical engineering designs, preferably in the following disciplines: Protective Relay and control, SCADA, Telecom, or substation.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License is required.
• First Aid/AED/CPR Certification required within 30 days of assignment start.
• Energized Facility Permit is required within one year of assignment start.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of substation protection schemes.
• Knowledge of Remedial Action Scheme (RAS).

Join AZAD as an Electronic Engineer and provide electrical engineering design for the Engineering organization. This position will provide confidential and professional services for a wide variety and large volume of project designs, drawings, communications, and associated / related documentation. Engineering services will be conducted following established policy, process, and practice, and will be provided to support Control Center or Substation work for Remedial Action Schemes Engineering to which this position will report. This position will provide engineering expertise, assisting project managers and other engineering personnel in implementing projects, supporting field maintenance crews, and other related engineering activities.

This is a 2yearsplus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continuedemployment.

This is a hybrid in Vancouver, WA with onsite 3 days weekly.

The hourly pay rate range for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $5.09) is$24.73 - $40.00 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package.
