Job summary

Tech Mahindra in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an Avionics Software Engineer to develop and modify embedded software for military upgrade programs. You will work with internal and external customers to capture and communicate requirements.

The role requires experience in C/C++ and related tools, DOORS knowledge, and the ability to obtain a security clearance. Onsite work with opportunities for collaboration across teams and programs is expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of static and dynamic test tools; familiarity with PC Lint, LDRA TestBed and VectorCast.
• Ability to translate system requirements into software requirements and tests.
• Familiarity with DOORS and linking requirements to test procedures.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages with emphasis on C, C++, and C#.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to design, develop, test, and document embedded software for avionics systems.
• Plan and manage integration projects to meet customer requirements.

Job Description:

This position will be responsible for developing, modifying, testing and documenting embedded software environment requirements for military upgrade development programs, including managing and communicating requirements to internal and external customers. Position

Job Responsibilities:

• Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate embedded software into avionics systems.
• Plans, supports, and manages integration projects to meet customer requirements.
• Works closely with other functional disciplines to ensure compliance to all critical performance parameters.
• Suggests design improvements / spiral opportunities to improve current integrated weapon system capabilities.

Position Requirements:

• Working knowledge of static and dynamic test tools, prefer knowledge of PC Lint, LDRA TestBed and VectorCast.
• Working knowledge of software development lifecycle to include capability to break system requirements into software requirements and associated tests.
• Prefer a knowledge of DOORS with ability to link requirements to test procedures.
• Working knowledge of multiple software development languages, prefer a knowledge of C, C++, C#.
• Must have the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively to coordinate across multiple organizations.
• Must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, as well as horizontal integrations across the other teams.
• Familiarity with military aerospace design and certification processes to include requirements develop and verification, preliminary and detailed design is preferred.
• PC proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
• Must have the ability to work effectively within a team, good interpersonal and organizational skills are required.
• Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree.

The pay range for this role is $140k- $220k per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
