Mission Federal Credit Union in San Diego is seeking an ECP Operations Specialist to support back-office deposit and loan servicing operations. You will process high volumes of deposits and loan payments with precision, review transactions for compliance with Regulation CC and BSA, and help maintain accurate financial records.

You’ll investigate discrepancies, resolve processing exceptions, and collaborate across branches, accounting, and call centers to ensure smooth operations.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent; accounting coursework preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a financial institution, deposit operations, or loan servicing.
• Accurate and detail-oriented with ability to handle high-volume transactions.
• Knowledge of banking regulations and transaction processing preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; able to learn multiple systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365.

ECP Operations Specialist

Compensation: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

We have an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing operational excellence, risk management, and member service. This role plays an important part in supporting Mission Fed's back-office deposit and loan servicing operations, helping ensure financial transactions are processed accurately, securely, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. • Be a financial operations expert! Process and validate a high volume of deposits, loan payments, loan payoffs, and other financial transactions while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional attention to detail.
• Help protect the organization from risk! Review transactions for negotiability, identify anomalies, apply regulatory holds, and support compliance with regulations including Regulation CC and BSA requirements.
• Put your analytical skills to work! Investigate transaction discrepancies, resolve processing exceptions, perform account adjustments, and help ensure accurate financial records and reporting.
• Support critical loan and deposit operations! Process incoming loan payoff checks, facilitate title releases, manage legal garnishments and levies, and assist with specialized deposit processing activities.
• Partner across the organization! Collaborate with Branches, the Contact Center, Accounting, and other departments to answer questions, resolve issues, and provide operational support.
• Make an impact behind the scenes! Support daily electronic check processing activities, mobile and ATM deposit review, school district deposit processing, reconciliation activities, and process improvement efforts that help drive operational excellence.

Here is what we are looking for:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a financial institution, preferably in deposit operations, check processing, loan servicing, account reconciliation, or a related operational environment.
• Experience processing financial transactions while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, investigate discrepancies, and determine appropriate resolutions.
• Working knowledge of banking regulations, transaction processing, or financial operations is preferred.
• Comfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment where accuracy matters.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong commitment to internal and member service.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and the ability to learn multiple systems and platforms.
• Experience with Symitar, Lockbox software, item processing platforms, general ledger balancing, or similar financial systems is preferred.
• Strong data entry and 10-key skills.
