Job summary

Cubic | Nuvotronics' Assembly Department is responsible for the electro-mechanical assembly of PolyStrata® products, using both automated equipment and skilled manual processes. As a Technician II within this team, you will be responsible for supporting prototype and production builds.

You will need to exercise judgement on builds and make recommendations to the engineering staff. This position typically works under general supervision and direction.

Qualifications

• Two-year college degree, military technical training, or equivalent.
• At least two years direct electronic experience in digital/analog circuitry or RF components.
• Intermediate MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
• Ability to understand and perform moderately complex technical phases of work.
• Ability to read and interpret technical materials.
• Ability to communicate with engineering staff, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to use hand tools and assembly equipment.
• May be required to work weekends and holidays to support customer needs.
• Must be eligible to obtain a DOD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assembles electronic components requiring moderate to complex wiring, soldering, and connecting, often under microscopes.
• Reads and interprets moderately complex notes, schematics, parts lists, and wiring diagrams.
• Sets up, operates, and maintains equipment required to build, repair, and troubleshoot electronic subassemblies and assemblies.
• Adheres to internal and external process standards and quality systems.
• Troubleshoots and corrects failures requiring moderate levels of skill for solution.
• Assists in design and process modifications by compiling data related to manufacturing.
• Develops information concerning previous failures and modifications. Identifies inconsistencies or gaps in data and seeks sources to clarify information, including devising experiments to determine a solution.
• Communicates progress utilizing intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
