Job summary

Qualifications

• Two-year college degree, military technical training, or equivalent is preferred.
• A minimum of two years direct electronic experience in digital and analog circuitry or radio frequency components.
• Intermediate level computer skills and knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
• Ability to understand and perform moderately complex technical phases of work.
• Ability to read and interpret technical materials.
• Ability to communicate with general engineering staff, verbally and written.
• Ability to use hand tools and assembly equipment.
• May be required to work weekends and holidays to support customer needs.
• Must be eligible to obtain a DOD security clearance

Responsibilities

• Assembles electronic components requiring moderate to complex wiring, soldering, and connecting, often under microscopes
• Reads and interprets moderately complex notes, schematics, parts lists, and wiring diagrams
• Sets up, operates, and maintains equipment required to build, repair, and troubleshoot electronic subassemblies and assemblies
• Adheres to internal and external process standards and quality systems
• Troubleshoots and corrects failures requiring moderate levels of skill for solution
• Assists in design and process modifications by compiling data related to manufacturing
• Develops information concerning previous failures and modifications
• Identifies inconsistencies or gaps in data and seeks sources to clarify information, including devising experiments to determine a solution
• Communicates progress utilizing intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
