Job summary

Paylocity is seeking an Assembly Technician Level - 2 to perform electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic assembly tasks, including decontamination of tools or equipment and reading schematics. The role requires wiring to exact specifications and integration of sub-assemblies under supervision.

This second shift position (3:00 pm to 1:00 am) reports to the Production Supervisor and involves working across multiple product lines with opportunities to advance toward Level 3.

Qualifications

• Education / Technical: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience: A minimum of 2.5 years' experience as an Assembly Technician - Level 1 or equivalent experience from another assembly position.

Responsibilities

• Perform point-to-point wiring of various electrical assemblies to precise specifications.
• Integrate sub-assemblies and components into a tool build based on various instruction methods and to precise specifications.
• Comprehension and use of electrical and mechanical schematics, engineering releases, and flow plans; highlight oversights or inaccuracies with documentation.
• Mechanical and electrical understanding of multiple product lines; work on both electrical and mechanical assemblies with limited support on one platform.
• Decontaminate assemblies and equipment.
• Work in multiple environments, generally contributing to one product platform.
• Mentor/instruct Assembly Technician Level 1.
• Develop skills to be promoted to Assembly Technician Level 3.
• Any other duties assigned by supervision.

Purpose, Scope, Organization

The Assembly Technician Level - 2 will be responsible for the following elements of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic assembly: decontamination of tools or equipment; point-to-point wiring, hipot test; mechanical and electrical tool assembly with components; ability to comprehend and describe schematics/drawings. This list is not all inclusive but is representative of the jobs performed by an Assembly Technician Level - 2. This position reports to the Production Supervisor.

*This is a second shift position (3:00 pm to 1:00 am)*

Responsibilities

1. Perform point-to-point wiring of various electrical assemblies to precise specifications.
2. Ability to integrate sub-assemblies and components into a tool build based on various instruction methods and to precise specifications.
3. Comprehension and use of electrical and mechanical schematics, engineering releases, and flow plans. This will also require the technician to highlight oversights or inaccuracies with documentation.
4. Mechanical and electrical understanding of multiple product lines; ability to work on both electrical and mechanical assemblies and integration with limited support on one platform (e.g. SRD, Mercury, Torrent, Storm).
5. Ability to decontaminate assemblies and equipment.
6. Work in multiple environments, generally contributing to one product platform.
7. Mentor/instruct employees who are classified as Assembly Technician - Level 1.
8. Develop the necessary skills to be promoted to Assembly Technician - Level 3.
9. Any other duties assigned by supervision.
