Job summary

Staffmark is hiring an Electronic Assembly Technician in Phoenix, AZ. The role pays $20.00–$26.00 per hour with a Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM schedule.

You will assemble electronic and mechanical components per blueprints, perform wiring and soldering, and operate assembly equipment to support production goals. The job requires a high school diploma or GED, 3 years of related experience, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years manufacturing or electronics assembly experience.
• Experience with cable/harness assembly, soldering, testing, or troubleshooting preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with manufacturing documentation systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic and mechanical components per blueprints and work instructions.
• Perform wiring, harness assembly, hand soldering, and equipment setup.
• Operate assembly equipment to support die attach, lead bonding, testing, and packaging.
• Conduct helium leak testing, subassembly testing, inspections, and troubleshooting.
• Read electrical schematics and engineering drawings to complete activities.
• Use hand tools and test equipment safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with supervisors and production teams to resolve issues and improve processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or an Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing, electronics assembly, cleanroom, semiconductor, or related technical production experience required.
• Experience with cable assembly, harness assembly, soldering, testing, inspection, or troubleshooting preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and work instructions.
• Basic computer skills and experience using manufacturing documentation systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Duties

• Assemble electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products according to blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Perform wiring, cable harness assembly, hand soldering, component installation, and equipment setup while maintaining quality and production standards.
• Operate manufacturing and semiconductor assembly equipment to support processes such as die attach, lead bonding, testing, marking, sealing, and packaging.
• Conduct helium leak testing, module testing, subassembly testing, inspections, and troubleshooting to ensure product performance and reliability.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and technical documentation to complete assembly and testing activities accurately.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and test equipment while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and production team members to resolve issues, improve processes, and meet production goals.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
• Frequent use of hands, fingers, and arms for assembly, wiring, testing, and inspection tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally and move materials as needed.
• Ability to bend, reach, kneel, crouch, grasp, push, pull, and safely use ladders.
• Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and work around manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, chemicals, and varying noise levels.
• Ability to maintain focus and productivity in a fast-paced production environment with changing priorities.
