Job summary

Staffmark is hiring an Assembly Technician in Phoenix, AZ. The role offers a pay rate of $18.00–$20.00 per hour and a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

You will assemble mechanical components, read blueprints, and perform basic testing in a cleanroom environment with on-the-job training provided. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of manufacturing or assembly experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing or cleanroom assembly experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and engineering drawings preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies per instructions and specs.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, parts lists and assembly instructions.
  • Gather materials, tools, and components for production needs.
  • Perform product testing and helium leak testing (training provided).
  • Troubleshoot basic assembly issues.
  • Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production goals.

Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing or cleanroom assembly experience
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks
  • Basic computer skills
  • Cable and harness assembly experience preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings preferred
  • Helium leak testing experience a plus
Job Duties
  • Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies following work instructions and engineering specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, parts lists, and assembly instructions
  • Gather materials, tools, and components for production needs

Physical Capabilities
  • Lift up to 25 lbs independently; heavier items with assistance
  • Sit or stand for extended periods
  • Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and grasp
  • Perform detailed assembly work using hands and fingers
  • Climb ladders when required
  • Visually inspect products and components for quality
