Job summary

AMETEK Programmable Power is seeking an Assembler in San Diego, CA to perform routine electronic and mechanical assembly at unit and module levels using blueprints, ECOs, and written processes. You will assemble and inspect components and subassemblies per specifications.

First shift, 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, with overtime Monday–Friday and weekends as needed. Requires 3–5 years related experience, a high school diploma, and strong reading of assembly drawings. Opportunity for growth within AMETEK.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must read assembly blueprints and related drawings.
• Ability to read rulers, tape measures and scales.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components to final product using instructions, drawings, and fixtures.
• Read and interpret assembly docs; suggest process improvements.
• Perform rework from test failures per repair procedures.
• Prep and insert components, solder where required.
• Verify product quality at set intervals.
• May train and support junior assemblers.
• Operate machines and handle materials per procedures.
