Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking an Electronic Assembler 1 to join our production team in Orlando. The role focuses on assembling electronic components, interpreting assembly drawings, and ensuring quality workmanship.

You will hand-solder both thru-hole and surface mount parts, and precisely crimp small contacts to meet strict specifications. The position requires good manual dexterity, the ability to lift up to 30 lbs, and the discipline to maintain a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• Must be able to grip and operate hand tools with sufficient force.
• Must be able to grip fine contacts and wires and operate a crimping tool.
• Must be able to see fine components and accurately place and solder them.
• Must be able to lift and carry ~30 lbs for 15 feet.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail; able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret assembly drawings and follow detailed instructions.
• Hand solder both thru-hole and surface mount components.
• Crimp contacts as small as 1mm with appropriate tooling.
• Proficient use of standard hand tools and power tools; maintain safety practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow materials handling procedures and safety standards.
